This will be followed by Nicola Young.Mount Victoria is in Nicola’s blood. She’s a sixth-generation central Wellingtonian, whose forebears (paternal and maternal) lived in Mount Victoria. Her great-uncle Pat Lawlor, writer and historian, was a prominent local resident. Nicola spent her first 10 years in what’s now Batham Drive, and moved back to Mount Victoria eight years ago. A city councillor and former journalist, Nicola will use her deep knowledge and love of Wellington to talk to us about her family’s history and their connections to our suburb.
